It's a shame these aren't more common.
I'm sensing Chevy SS syndrome. Great numbers, a bit too expensive but just doesn't excite the public enough.

Come to SE Michigan. They are everywhere, and they look even more like police than the base Taurus.

And they are ginormous!

Sure does look awful from the rear.

IMHO they dont look sporty enough. To muted, to normal, it just doesn't stand out like a special hopped up model should.

That's how I feel about the SS too. Sho has what, a twin turbo v6? But looks too mundane and not enough like a specialty. Mustangs however do the opposite. The base looks close enough to the GTs so it gets more cred by default. The Sho and SS miss out on cred because everyone assumes they're just "meh"

This car has a Kim Kardashian ass - too big.

Chicago PD has a couple unmarked SHOs that look absolutely bad ass with their blue lights going

I see a fair number of them. You just have to be quick and check the fascia/wheels of every taurus you see. You'd be surprised how many are out there.

But amazing!

I see these things all the time, I'm in metro detroit though.
The problem is they got stagnant. This was EPIC when it first came out now everyone has it's power/capability.
The Taurus needs a complete re-do imo.

If you're going to buy an overpowered sedan that 99% of the population doesn't know exists, you're going to go SS every time, because rwd.
